Add the salt and vanilla and knead on medium speed for 10 minutes. The dough will be soft and sticky. Transfer the dough into the separate greased bowl, cover with kitchen plastic and towel, and allow to rise for 2 hours. Once the doubled in size, lightly roll it over floured surface to 1/2 inch thick rectangle. Cut the heart shapes with cookie cutter and place on baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Cover the heart donuts with kitchen plastic and towel and allow to rise at room temperature for 30 minutes. Once the donuts have doubled in size, heat the oil in a large pot (there should be 2-3" high of oil) to 350Β°F. Cut the parchment paper with donuts on it into squares. Carefully place the donuts (one or three at a time depending on size of your pot and comfort level) with the parchment squares intact into the hot oil. Remove the parchment and fry each side of the donut hearts to your desired color and crispness (I prefer deep golden color), then place on a cooling rack or paper towel. While the fried donuts are still warm, dip and coat in sugar, fill with the nutella and cherry preserves , and enjoyβ€οΈπ #donuts #doughnuts #homemadedonuts #raspberry #valentinesideas #valentinesdessert #baking #easyrecipes
